Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 161

It has been months since I have had a chance to actually have time to make a card for a challenge. I love challenges but between school, my business and lots of travel I just haven't been able to play. But tonight I had a little time, so decided to make a card using the mojo monday sketch challenge 161 and supplies from an online swap that sends me supplies to design a card every month. This is different than I typically would do, but I like it.

Mother's Day card & gift using Cute Card Sketch #109, 3-D item for A Spoonful Sugar challenge, ABAC for Digital Tuesday #56, Papertake Challenge

My MIL is 88 years old and thinking of something she might enjoy for Mother's Day is tough. But she loves movies and has no dietary restrictions, so I decided to make her a movie basket. When I went to Blockbusters to buy movies they had these Coke carrier type things available. One side has a place for two beverages or a beverage and some candy or popcorn. The other side is for three or four movies. I had bought this digital image about a month back and used it for an easel card and now I got to use it again. It is fun to color and fits perfect with the movie theme. I was looking for a sketch and liked the one shown on Cute Card Thursday, so used it for the card. Also, item is for A Spoonful of Sugar challenge for the week. And Digital Tuesday's challenge is Anything But a Card, so here is my popcorn container. This is the first time I have tried altering a popcorn container, so this is also for the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Do Something Different.

Some of you have been asking me to post some of the items I sew for the 18 inch dolls that are out there (American Girl dolls, etc). So I just got a new doll from AG and she is the doll of the year and her name is Lani. I had to dress her up for spring - so here she is so pretty in pink!

Terra Cotta Baskets

I am in a swap on SCS for Easter Baskets. I was having difficulty coming up with a paper basket, so I decided to do some terra cotta clay baskets. I "impressed" one of the $ stamps that you can get at JoAnn's and Mikes. I glazed the inside of the baskets and added a little ribbon. I enjoyed painting the little flowers on them. A little twist on rubber stamping.
