I had a lot of fun making this card, had a few problems with the lighting on this card, as the darker colors look blue, when in reality they are brown. I like the way it turned out though.
I made this card using the Our Creative Corner sketch for their challenge this week. I plan on making a few more using this design for my church - I donate a set of cards a month to them and this will be the one for April.
I made this friendship card to send to my bella sistah, it is coming to the end of our swap, but we plan to keep in touch once the round is complete. This card also is for Daring Cardmakers - which this week their challenge theme is girls, also this is the sketch from Friday Sketchers, also for Stamp Something - where the theme is spring and lastly for ABC Challenge - F is for Flowers - I used flower paper and a pretty pink flower. Also, I will post it for my spring card for FunFrilled. A very multi-use card!
Every couple of months my local card club gives us a challenge, it might be old cards, fiber, ugly stickers, images, etc and you have to use them to make cards for our group. This month we were given an image, so I took the sketch challenge from Dutch Dare and used it. The sketch was interesting and I think I like the way the butterflys turned out (got them at the dollar store)
Today truly must have been my day to think about marriage - for the Truly Scrumptious Challenge I made a wedding card, I do feel this is an interesting sketch and I enjoyed using it. I also added a little color to the typical silver, gray, black and white, I felt it needed a little punch.
I am also playing along with Danielle's Scripture Scrappers site and made this "Love" layout this week, using my DD and SIL's wedding picture.
I made this card using the Sketch and Stash Challenge #6. I am giving it to my neighbor who just lost their cat to a heart problem, I really enjoyed the sketch and the way this card turned out.
This is my "green" card for the Stamp Something challenge this week and for Fridays Sketches #43. Also, for Michelle's challenge on her blog. I am going to give it to my sister for St. Patty's day, we are Irish so it is appropriate.
I am making cards for my church, they send out between 80-100 cards a month. They send out Thinking of You, Sympathy, and Get Well cards. This turned out more challenging than I thought. I wanted to come up with a card that they would feel would be as nice to send out as a store bought card, plus I had to stay away from lots of emblessishments so they can be sent out for forty-two cents. My goal is to make one set of six cards a month. I started with a Thinking of You card. Another challenge is finding Christian based rubber stamping companies. Three companies that have some great stamps are Eureka Stamps, Verve, and my favorite Touche (they give me free rubber when I order from them, they are a small family run business) So this week I used the Mojo Monday sketch for my card. I was concerned as my lamb, is a very big image, but he turned out fine.
I wanted to do a card for my "sistah" and I had this card kit from a swap and so I decided to do this week's challenge from A Spoon Full of Sugar, it worked well with the supplies I had on hand.
I love sketch challenges, it helps me come up with new and exciting cards. This one was done for the Mojo Monday Week 76 sketch challenge. I hope it reminds you of spring, as it is just around the corner
I love this particular sketch, actually used it for two different cards this week. I like its simplicity, but also the fact that the image is towards the top to catch your eye.
This a scrapbook page I made for a class on TwoPeas about sewing on your scrapbook pages and cards. One of my day jobs is I design and sew doll clothes, I have five sewing machines but never sew on my cards or scrapbook pages, decided to give this a whirl. I now have questions!!! But I am pretty pleased with my first try.
